A Counseling Commentary Through James

A Counseling Commentary Through James

  • 995

Most commentaries are written for preachers and teachers. That's wonderful. But when that's our only focus, it emphasizes the public ministry of the Word over the private ministry of the Word. That's why the Christian Counseling Commentary series was started. Book by book we explore the pastoral care God inspired each other to provide for things like emotional regulation, comfort amid suffering, relational guidance, motivation analysis, and other skills central to counseling. We chose James as the second book for this series because it is a highly practical book that offers pastoral care for people facing intense suffering and conflict - two subjects that emerge frequently in counseling.
